Groundbase
Testers wanted

Use Groundbase for real for 30 days. Stick with it and it's free for life.

Groundbase is a simple CRM for one-person businesses: your contacts, deals, bookings, quotes, invoices, texts and email in one place. I'm looking for a small group of people to run their actual business on it and tell me what's annoying, confusing or missing.

Apply in 2 minutesNo card. Small groups start every Monday from November 3.
What you get
  • All of Groundbase, free for 30 days from the day you sign up. Every feature, no card.
  • Free for life if you're still using it at the end and you've sent your check-ins.
  • A direct line to the person who builds it. What you report goes on my list, not into a support queue.
  • Web, Windows and Android apps, all with the same login and the same data.
What I ask
  • Use it as your actual CRM, a few times a week. Real customers, real follow-ups.
  • Answer a short check-in by email once a week. It takes about 2 minutes.
  • Tell me when something breaks, gets in your way, or doesn't make sense. Small things count.

Who it's for

People who sell or book their own work: contractors and trades, consultants, freelancers, coaches, photographers, real estate agents, small agencies. If you're keeping customers in a spreadsheet, a notes app or your inbox, or you're paying for a CRM built for a sales team of fifty, you're who I want to hear from.

Who's building it

I'm Adam, and I build Groundbase on my own. I read every check-in myself. Testers are how it gets from “works when I try it” to “works when you rely on it”.

Questions

What happens after 30 days?

If you've been using it and sending your check-ins, nothing changes: your account stays free, for life. If you've drifted off, it moves to the normal plan ($19 a month), and you can subscribe or leave. There's no card on file, so nothing is ever charged without you choosing to.

Do I need Twilio?

Only for texting and calling. Those use your own Twilio account, billed by Twilio at their rates (about US$20 to get started, plus around $1.15 a month for a number). Email sends from your own mailbox. Contacts, deals, bookings, quotes and invoices work without either.

Does “free for life” cover Twilio?

No. Groundbase itself is free; anything Twilio charges for your texts and calls is between you and Twilio, the same as for every Groundbase customer. See pricing.

What can I use it on?

Any web browser, including on a Mac or iPhone, plus native apps for Windows and Android. There's no native Mac or iPhone app.

Can I bring my contacts?

Yes. Import a spreadsheet or a CSV exported from another CRM; the import matches the usual column names for you.

What if I want to leave?

Export your contacts, companies, deals and tasks as CSV, or everything as a backup file, from Settings, then delete your account. Your data is yours.

How do you pick testers?

A mix of businesses, a few at a time, so every group gets proper attention. If it's not your week, you'll hear that too, and I'll keep your application for the next one.
