Groundbase
Changelog

What shipped, by day.

Groundbase is built by one person and ships most days. This is the list, newest first, in the words a customer would use. App versions are on the download page.

October 14, 2026

  • SMS: campaign and Bulk texts no longer fill your SMS list. Each one stays in the contact's history, and the conversation appears in the list when they reply. The list's chips are now All, Unread and Scheduled (which had slipped out of sight), with a Filter menu for Waiting on them, Never replied, Not a contact, Didn't send, and the unanswered Campaign & Bulk texts. On desktop, No reply and All leave them out and the megaphone icon lists them. How it works.
  • Desktop 2.1.23, with the form Appearance card, the email Global styles and the SMS list change below. The app tells you when it is available.
  • Campaigns and newsletters: Global styles in the email designer now set the font, the text colour and the button colour for the whole email at once. How it works.
  • Lead forms can look like your website: pick the button colour, page background, text colour and font in the form editor's new Appearance card. How it works.
  • Lead forms: the name box at the top of the form editor looked like a heading, so forms stayed named after their template. It is now labelled, and Name is also the first field under Page. Each field's label box was also squeezed to a sliver beside the type menu, which hid that the first Short text field is "Your name"; it has its width back.
  • The public form page now shows only the form: the owner name above the heading, the "your details go only to" line and the "Powered by Groundbase" footer are gone, so a form on your own website carries only what you put on it.
  • New website: a homepage built from live demos of the product instead of screenshots, a pricing page with a calculator for what Groundbase replaces, a features page with every group's honest limits, and a rebuilt AI page where the prompt gallery answers back.
  • Over MCP, adding a contact with a ten-digit North American number now stores it with the country code, and "bill these hours" puts the entries on the invoice as priced lines.

October 13, 2026

  • Desktop 2.1.21 and Android 2.1.15. The app tells you when a newer build is available.
  • Calendar colours: give any task, event or meeting a colour from Google Calendar's palette, and it matches in Google both ways.
  • Calendar and Bookings now sit in the sidebar under Schedule. Tasks is now Calendar, and Bookings moved out of Settings.

October 9, 2026

  • Documents and e-signatures: upload a PDF once, place the fields, send it to a contact. They sign on their phone with no account, everyone gets the signed PDF with a certificate page, and it is filed on the contact. Automatic reminders after 3 and 7 days. How it works.
  • The AI connection was reorganised from 106 tools to 59 without losing anything, and gained merging contacts, credit notes, repeat invoices, deal-stage and saved-view management, email folders and billing logged time. Your assistant can also book a meeting into one of your meeting types.
  • Meeting guests can answer Yes, No or Maybe from the confirmation email, and you see the answer on the meeting.

October 8, 2026

  • Booking and document emails can go out from Groundbase's address with your name on them, with replies coming to you, until you connect a mailbox. Choose which address booking emails come from in Settings → Bookings.

October 7, 2026

  • Desktop 2.1.20. A text that Twilio refuses now shows the reason on the message instead of failing quietly.

October 6, 2026

  • Book for someone: put a client into one of your meeting types yourself, at any time, from the app or by asking your AI. They get the same confirmation and reminders as a self-booking.
  • Booking reminder emails send from your own mailbox when you have one connected.

October 5, 2026

  • Change your login email yourself from Settings → Account, with a confirmation link to the new address and a heads-up to the old one.
  • Signed Windows installer (2.1.17) and Android 2.1.14.

October 4, 2026

  • Deleting a task that is on Google Calendar asks whether to remove it there too, so a meeting you cancel does not linger on the calendar.

October 2, 2026

  • Booking links: close specific dates or give them different hours, and add questions the person answers when they book.

October 1, 2026

  • Pricing is $19 a month or $199 a year, for everything. The $9 launch price ended; anyone on it keeps it.
  • Hours logged with the timer go onto a draft invoice as lines, and stay linked, so unbilling a line releases the time and nothing is billed twice.
  • The AI connection's tool list was slimmed from 132 to 106 and every old name kept working.

September 30, 2026

  • Events you add in Google Calendar now come into Groundbase, so the booking page keeps them free.

September 29, 2026

  • Newsletters and lead forms: issues with layouts for your line of work, drag-and-drop blocks, a contact card that fills itself in, open and click tracking, and a form with its own link that turns every submission into a tagged contact with a follow-up task. Sends through your own Resend account.

September 26, 2026

  • Quotes: price a job first, let the customer accept online with an optional deposit, and turn an accepted quote into an invoice in one click.
  • Annual billing, alongside monthly, with switching between the two from Settings.
  • Android 2.1.11, signed with a new release key. Anyone on 2.1.10 or older must uninstall before installing.

September 14, 2026

  • Workflows: a Wait step can now stop the run early if the person replies, books a meeting or opts out, so a nudge never lands on someone who already got back to you. Sequences were removed; Workflows do what they did, with history.

September 13, 2026

  • Workflows and Connections (inbound and outbound webhooks) opened to every account.

September 11, 2026

  • Bulk texts and bulk email run on our servers. Close the laptop at recipient 200 of 500 and the rest still go, and you can see which did.
